I was struggling in my business before because of a few things — I wasn’t confident in the skin I was in and I HATED talking to new people.
I didn’t like talking to new people because I was not good at it, which again circles back to not being confident in myself.
Once I had my son, I stopped worrying so much about what other people thought. It is amazing the shift that happens when you have a child. Certain things just don't matter anymore.
I know that no one is perfect, we are all imperfectly perfect, but I am confident that I do right by those who matter.
The mom guilt, and judgment from others is REAL. As a society we need to focus more on the things someone does right, and build each other up instead of putting someone on blast -- especially on social media.
For whatever reason anything negative gets more time on the film reel than positive things. Why is that? Why must we focus on negativity than positivity? Why can't we instead LEARN from our mistakes and teach instead of shame?
The best thing we can do is take initiative and change our own behavior. I'm hopeful in my own actions that it will catch on, and become a movement.
