Motivation Monday
10:16 AMThis is going to be a lengthy post, but stay with me on this one.
I was always different than most people, but I didn’t always embrace it. I used to be focused more on “fitting in” and “doing what I am supposed to”.
See I used to work in corporate America and I used to work a ridiculous amount of hours every week. My average work week used to be between 50-60 hours minimum.
I also didn’t have a set schedule so it was hard to plan things around my job. Thing was, I was conditioned to believe that that sort of thing was normal.
I look back and wonder how the hell I accomplished all that I did and surprised that I didn’t completely burn out.
It did take a huge toll on my health and well being though. All I did was work, eat and sleep. I don’t know about you, but that isn’t a way to live and I started to become unhappy.
Lots of times we take something as “being happy” for granted. What made me happy was getting out of your typical job and working from home.
What is it for you? Imagine it and then work towards it — the possibilities are endless and YOU have control. Don’t worry about what others think, just focus on yourself!
