The Importance of a Daily Meditation Practice

Why practice meditation daily? Why make time that I don't have?
I'm sure a few of you are saying that right now. I didn't have time either, but I made time. Nine months ago I was working a full-time job of 50 hours per week, working getting my business up off the ground and getting about four hours of sleep MAXIMUM each night. Sometimes one must make sacrifices in life.
- Lowering blood pressure & slowing down your cardiovascular system
- Relaxing your nervous system
- Relieving muscle tension
- Restoring balanced function to your digestive system & helps with the absorption of nutrients
- Relieving insomnia
- Helping diminish the intensity of migraines & headaches
- Reducing anxiety
- Releasing fears
- Improving depression
- Relieving the mind from self doubt & internal monologue
- Helping generate confidence, optimism, self-esteem, & motivation
If you can potentially benefit on an improvement on anything from this list, I highly recommend you to start meditation. The easiest way is to find some guided meditations you enjoy on YouTube or just close your eyes and focus on your breath. There are so many types of meditation practices out there, there is no set way to meditation for your own well being.
